Fifty years behind us and a bright future ahead for Crestline

As Crestline blew out its 50th candle this year, we paused to honour the past, celebrate the present, and look ahead to what is to come. For five decades, Crestline has grown, evolved, and made an impact in communities across Canada and around the world. Most importantly, this anniversary allows us to honour the many people who built the path we stand on today. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Paving the way with our partners

Thank you to our customers, who are woven into our past, present, and future. For half a century, our customers have been the driving force behind everything we do. Your trust, collaboration, and honest feedback have shaped our evolution and inspired us to continuously improve. Across Canada, in large cities, small towns, rural regions, and remote northern communities, the realities you navigate as paramedics, fleet managers, and transportation providers have challenged us to build vehicles that are stronger, safer, and truly suited to the environments you serve.
Every ambulance and bus we build reflects your insights and your commitment to the people you serve. We are deeply grateful for the stories you have shared, the challenges you have presented, and the longstanding relationships that have guided our growth over the past 50 years.

Honouring our founders with a special tribute

The Crestline story began in 1975 with three founders who believed they could build an ambulance that better supported both patient care and paramedics on the road. Peter Adsten, Ken Sawatsky, and Ronn Janzen shared a passion for quality, safety, and service. Their vision and determination created the foundation upon which Crestline continues to grow today.
We pay special tribute to the life and legacy of Peter Adsten, whose recent passing is felt deeply across the entire community.

Peter was more than a co-founder. He was a leader defined by warmth, integrity, and purpose. Until his retirement in 2004, he brought energy and vision to every part of the business. His entrepreneurial spirit, respect for relationships, and dedication to improving patient care influenced not only our company but the entire EMS industry.
We honour Peter for the life he lived and the values he helped shape within Crestline. We also express our sincere appreciation to all of our founders for establishing the solid foundation that continues to guide our mission.

To our Crestline employees, the heart of our success

For 50 years, every milestone we’ve reached has come from the incredible people who bring Crestline to life day after day. Your dedication, your ideas, and your passion for serving those who serve others have carried this company through every chapter of our growth. Your work helps paramedics do what they do best every day: save lives.

Whether you have been with us for many years or joined recently, your work matters deeply. You are the heart of Crestline.

We are excited about the new projects and possibilities on the horizon. And while we continue to grow and evolve, one thing remains unchanged: our promise to listen to our customers, support our employees, and deliver safe, reliable ambulances, buses, and vehicles that communities across Canada and around the world rely on. As the year comes to a close and a new chapter begins, that commitment remains at the heart of everything we do.
