The new CCL 166 Type III ambulance will premiere at EMS World Expo 2025, delivering a

Indianapolis, IN \u2013 October 22, 2025 <\/strong>\u2013 Crestline Ambulances is pleased to introduce the all-new CCL 166 Type III ambulance model, now on display for the first time at EMS World Expo in Indianapolis, IN, at the Indiana Convention Center. Building on seven years of proven performance since the U.S. market debut of the CCL 150 model, the new CCL 166 extends the trusted Crestline legacy with an additional 16 inches of patient compartment space, newly enhanced storage solutions, and practical crew-focused features that deliver the operational efficiency and patient comfort today’s EMS services demand.<\/p>\n

“Our mission centers on delivering proven ambulance solutions that address the critical operational challenges facing today’s EMS providers\u2014reliable performance, cost-effective ownership, and rapid deployment capabilities,” said Kris Turner, Channel Development Director, U.S. “Much like its counterpart, the CCL 150, the CCL 166 was also engineered directly from customer feedback and real-world deployment data. This fleet-focused platform delivers expanded patient care space and enhanced crew efficiency features while maintaining our signature simplified maintenance protocols and parts commonality. It’s purpose-built for EMS organizations that require dependable, field-tested solutions with minimal operational complexity and maximum uptime.”<\/p>\n

Inside the new CCL 166, crews benefit from a redesigned rear action area with a new storage drawer option and a wider squad bench for improved comfort. It has increased cabinetry and compartment volume for optimized storage and offers up to 25% more ALS storage in Type III configurations. Additional enhancements include a three-inch increase in cab recline for crew comfort, improved bulkhead talk-through with double seals to ensure quiet operation, and an upgraded HVAC system with targeted 20% cooling performance improvements. Crews can also take advantage of eight-speed fan settings, offering smoother transitions and greater control over climate comfort.<\/p>\n

Customers can choose between a Ford E-450 cutaway chassis or a Chevy G4500 cutaway chassis, with a box size of 166\u201d length x 96\u201d width and 72\u201d of interior headroom. The extended box length provides additional workspace to optimize patient care. At the same time, the repositioned airway station offers more legroom and improved access to MMC Multiplex Electrical System controls for comfort and efficiency.<\/p>\n

While the CCL 166 includes various enhancements, it shares the same electrical harnessing system as the CCL 150, ensuring fleet consistency and simplified maintenance for technicians.
