Paramedic Services Week 2024 in Canada will emphasize the theme, “Help Us, Help You,” recognizing the collaborative nature of EMS care delivery. This year will mark the 50th anniversary of National EMS Week in the United States. President Gerald Ford established the event to honor EMS practitioners and their crucial work in local communities. Led by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), the theme for this milestone year is “Honoring Our Past. Forging Our Future.” Daily themes will be observed throughout the week to highlight different aspects of EMS care.
