Ambulance production capacity expanded to provide more vehicles for EMS services

Demand on EMS teams continues to grow across Canada, placing increasing pressure on frontline services. As a result, delivering more ambulances on time has never been more critical. Our goal is to ensure that paramedics can count on safe and reliable vehicles whenever they are needed. As your ambulance manufacturer, we remain committed to supporting life-saving missions. Every vehicle we build meets the highest standards of safety and compliance. This commitment guides everything we do.

Putting more vehicles on the road thanks to expanded ambulance production capacity

To address this reality, we are doubling our ambulance production capacity to deliver more vehicles faster and support communities more effectively. Today, this production capacity is supported by the Crestline production facility, where 111,000 square feet are dedicated to ambulance manufacturing, and the remount centre, which operates within a 15,000 square foot facility, together supported by a team of over 400 Crestline employees.

At Demers, new ambulance production takes place in Beloeil at a 63,000-square-foot facility. Remount operations are concentrated at a nearby 16,000-square-foot site, supported by a dedicated team focused exclusively on completing remounts. Together, our production and remount facilities in Eastern Canada are supported by a team of 430 employees, ensuring your vehicles are delivered on time and in full compliance with industry standards.

This scale allows us to deliver new ambulances efficiently while maintaining the quality, safety, and compliance EMS teams expect. By operating at full capacity, our production centers ensure predictable timelines and steady access to new vehicles that support your operations today and into the future.

Remount capacity to support a balanced fleet strategy

To support this growth, many EMS services adopt a balanced fleet strategy. Using both new and remounted ambulances is an effective way to support long-term vehicle reliability, cost control, and operational readiness.

Last month, we shared an important update. Our remount lead times are now six months in Saskatoon and nine months in Beloeil. These clearer timelines make it easier to plan fleet renewals with confidence. At the same time, our teams continue to refine processes so remounted vehicles meet the same performance and safety standards as new units.

In Western Canada, the remount centre plays a key role in this effort. The facility has a team solely dedicated to remount operations. This focused approach allows us to increase capacity, reduce downtime, and return vehicles to service faster, helping your fleet stay operational when it matters most.

In Eastern Canada, our expanded operations help us process your vehicles faster and more efficiently. With the Eastern parts centre dedicated to service and parts and second facility focused on remounts, we are improving our processes step by step. As a result, your fleet spends less time off the road and more time in service.

Service and parts to keep your fleet moving

In addition to production and remounts, we continue to invest in service and parts to support your fleet throughout its life cycle. Our customer care team is growing and works hand in hand across parts and service to keep your vehicles ready for the road.

More importantly, we help your vehicles stay in service longer and return to the road faster thanks to more than 110,000 parts in stock and installation services tailored to your needs. In addition, with access to OEM parts designed specifically for your model, you benefit from OEM expertise from production through the vehicle’s full life cycle, ensuring long-term performance and reliability.

Our growing team of 30 experts includes mobile technicians, parts specialists, mechanics, and technical advisors who know our ambulances in detail. They work every day to support your operations and adapt as your needs evolve. As fleet demands increase, we continue to expand our service offering so you always have the support required to keep your teams moving.

As the top Canadian ambulance manufacturer, our mission remains clear. We provide fast access to safe and reliable ambulances and remounts to support EMS fleets nationwide. These investments allow us to better support your teams, keep your fleet ready for duty, and ensure you always have the vehicles needed to serve your communities.
