Over time, retention straps on main oxygen cylinder holders can become worn, loose, or damaged. If not replaced, these straps may fail to secure the cylinders properly, creating a safety risk for both crew and patients.
The product in question
The affected part is the vertical main cylinder holder retention strap. Each Crestline ambulance is equipped with these straps to hold the primary oxygen cylinder securely in place. Crestline Coach provides replacement parts under the following part numbers:
15693, 30994, 36658, 38527, 42826, and 55339.
The solution
To ensure safe operation, the original equipment manufacturer requires that all straps be replaced every three (3) years, either from the date of the cylinder holder’s original assembly or from the last strap replacement date, whichever comes later.
