Choosing between the CCL 150 and CCL 166 comes down to your fleet’s priorities. If maneuverability and cost efficiency are your top priorities, the CCL 150 delivers everything you need in a compact design. If your crews benefit from expanded workspace and additional storage, CCL 166 offers more room to work while maintaining Crestline’s durability and reliability. Your local Crestline dealer partner can walk you through both models and help match the right ambulance to your operational needs.

Both models can be built on Ford and Chevrolet chassis, giving fleets flexibility while maintaining serviceability and reliability. Here is a breakdown by model and type:

  • CCL 150 Type I: Ford F-350 | Chevrolet 3500 HD
  • CCL 150 Type III: Ford E-350 | Chevrolet G3500
  • CCL 166 Type III: Ford E-450 | Chevrolet G4500

The CCL 150 is available in both Type I and Type III configurations, giving providers flexibility based on their operational needs.

The CCL 166 is currently offered as a Type III only, with plans underway to expand its availability to a Type I configuration in the future.

The CCL 166 provides more overall storage space than the CCL 150. It includes 25% more ALS storage compared to the Type III CCL 150, 38% more ALS storage compared to the Type I CCL 150, plus expanded interior cabinetry for additional equipment and supplies.

Because Crestline employs a standardized production process, both models benefit from shorter lead times compared to those of highly customized builds from other ambulance manufacturers.

Both the CCL 150 and the CCL 166 deliver Crestline’s proven quality, reliability, and fleet-focused design. The primary difference lies in size and space.

The CCL 150 is a highly efficient choice for departments or providers seeking a compact, maneuverable ambulance that doesn’t compromise essential features. It offers the thoughtful design, practical storage, and durable construction that Crestline is known for, making it an excellent fit for organizations that require performance in tighter operating environments or want a more cost-effective option.

The CCL 166 provides a 16″ longer box, creating an expanded workspace and additional storage capacity for crews who prefer more room for equipment access and patient care. It features a repositioned airway station for added legroom, a double door S2/S3 storage compartment to enhance storage, and expanded cabinetry.

Both models share Crestline’s standard product features, streamlined process, and fleet-ready serviceability. Whichever you choose, you’ll get an ambulance designed to keep your team efficient, comfortable, and mission-ready.

Find the right ambulance model for your fleet.

Whether you choose the efficiency of the CCL 150 or the expanded workspace of the CCL 166, every Crestline ambulance is built on a standardized, fleet-focused platform that delivers quality, serviceability, and value.
